Taking pride in what you do is an important thing to instill in everyone. This song is a great way to start classroom discussions about taking the time to finish something and slowing down to do it correctly.  The song “Pride” is based on the Beatles song “She Loves You Yeah, Yeah, Yeah”. Join the Professor in singing “I Have Pride!”

• MP3 of both vocals and instrumental
• Discuss where your students find their source of pride – sports, music, dance, school work, etc. What steps do they take to have pride in being a part of those activities?
• Talk about nonsense words in songs like “yeah, yeah, yeah” and discuss how they make songs fun to sing. Brainstorm with your students to think of other songs with nonsense words in them and discuss why they like those songs.
• Listen to the song “She Loves You Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” by the Beatles. Do a short study about the Beatles music and career.
